The prayer of shinto
Shinto gained systematic from spontaneously, from within the social life of communities.
As a result, it has no specific founder or clearly defined body of scripture.

But since ancient times the Japanese have transmitted the legends and myths of the kami
as a genealogy of their way of life, and the festivals based on those traditions have been passed
from generation to generation.

Using riches of depictive power, Japanese mythology transmits a dynamic portrayal of the birth
of the land, the genealogy of the deities, and the establishment of the nation and its subjection
to peaceful rule.

Within the myths can be found deified nature spirits, noble heroes, and ancestral deities, including
numerous deities of both male and female gender.

From within the epic dramas move around those deities, the Japanese people have learned how
to live as human beings, and thus been entrusted with a core of faith.
